Tomato salad taste extra good when you use different types of riped tomatoes.
Let’s start with the best and most easy salad! The pictures are from my cooking book, SÅ GODT! https://www.universitetsforlaget.no/nettbutikk/sa-godt-uf.html
The best taste is from ripe tomatoes. I like it when the tomato salad is made of different types of tomatoes, because they all have slightly different flavours. If you don’t have fresh basil leaves by your hand, dried oregano is just as good.
- 3 big tomatoes
- 20 small sherry tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- a small bunch of fresh basil leaves
For the dressing you need:
- 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoons of balsamico vinegar
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
This is how you make the tomato salad:
Peel and finely slice the onion. Wash and shop the tomatoes.
Mix the onion and the tomatoes into a bowl, drizzle over the basil leaves, extra virgin olive oil and balsamico vinegar. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
